Apply to the 2008 Youth Leadership Forum

The 2008 SC Youth Leadership Forum will be held at Newberry College in
Newberry, South Carolina from July 9–11.

Deadline for entries is March 17, 2008.

YLF is an annual career leadership program for high school juniors and seniors (or high school students between the ages of 17-21) with disabilities who have leadership potential in both their school and community.

Carolina Works

Carolina Works is a series highlighting the accomplishments of South Carolina’s Workforce Development System.

SCVRD is among the Workforce Investment Act partners for Carolina Works, which is produced by the SC Employment Security Commission’s Public Information Office. Previous Carolina Works featured SCVRD’s partnerships with Walgreens and North American Rescue Products; SCVRD’s High School High Tech program, which provides technology-related internships for high school students with disabilities; coverage of the Americans With Disabilities Act 15th Anniversary; and Hometown Heroes Ben Elstad and Tiffany Hasty, both former SCVRD clients.
